For players who don’t know, there are returning error codes, errors and issues in general from Bungie’s Destiny franchise that you may encounter while playing Marathon.
Most of these errors are common issues which you may find in any other live service game, with a majority of them being network errors.
In this guide, I will be explaining the error code Marionberry and how you can fix it in Marathon.
What is the error code Marionberry in Marathon?

The error code Marionberry is yet another network error, implying there’s some issue with your networking setup.
While there are multiple reasons for it, most of the time, it triggers whenever a WiFi blip occurs.
And, when there is a change in network or parental control settings in your modem/router or platform.

How to fix the Marionberry error in Marathon

Unlike error codes: Currant and Anteater or similar ones, Marionberry error basically arises whenever your router/modem is in a bad state. The primary fix for this is to restart your modem/router.
While you are at it, it is best to do a power cycle by unplugging your modem/router for 50 to 60 seconds and plugging it back in.
This should fix the issue. If not, move to the next fix, which is a cold reboot of your hardware:
- Close Marathon
- Shut down your PC or Console
- After that, unplug the power cable from your device for at least 30 seconds, though I recommend 60.
- Plug the power cable back in, start your device and run Marathon
If you are still facing the same error, please check your Parental Control and Firewall settings. The latter in particular, as most players don’t have any Parental Control setting in place.

Make sure the game is not blocked, and the Private and Public network boxes are checked.
