Data Reconstruction is a three-part priority contract from the NuCaloric faction in Marathon that you can complete to get better rewards, level up the faction and unlock new upgrades.
Just like the first two parts, there are some players who cannot find the contract objectives and are unable to progress.
For such players, this walkthrough will be helpful.
Data Reconstruction 3 overview
In Marathon, you unlock the Data Reconstruction 3 after completing the Introducing: NuCaloric contract given by the CyAc faction and the Survival Directive, Data Reconstruction 1 and Data Reconstruction 2 contracts from the NuCaloric faction.
In this contract, you must:
- Hack exterior Data Repositories in North or South Relay (0/2)
- Download AI maintenance protocol from second floor of Hauler (0/1)
- Exfil (0/1)

Data Reconstruction 3 contract walkthrough
First of all, set up your loadout and start a run on the Perimeter map. Since completing the contract, you have to exfil, and you can bring in some good loot.
Once you spawn, depending on your location, either make your way to North or South Relay or the Hauler.
Hack exterior Data Repositories in North or South Relay
I completed the first objective in the South Relay since it was close to my spawn. But you can do it in North Relay, too. Just look for the structures shown in the screenshot below.
That said, you can find the first Data Repository at the above marked location.
Head and look at the orange pillar with a panel.
Note: I am colourblind, so pardon me if I got the colour wrong.
Once you are near it, the objective marker will become visible. Go near and interact with it to hack the Data Repository.
The second Data Repository is found on the other side of the POI, at the above marked location.
Head there and look for the greyish pillars as marked in the above screenshot.
Go near the panel and interact with it to hack.

Download AI maintenance protocol from second floor of Hauler
The AI maintenance protocol at the Hauler POI is found right at the above marked location.
Head to the second floor and look for the room right next to the stairs leading to the first floor.
Use the above screenshot as a reference. Once you are there, head inside the room and look on the left side.
You will find a panel on the wall from which you can download the AI Protocol.
Exfil
To keep your progress and complete the quest, you must Exfil. Once you do that, the contract will be completed, and you can claim your rewards via the Faction menu.
