Monday, Jan 5, Bandai Namco revealed a brand new eight-minute-three-second-long walkthrough trailer for their upcoming Souls-like, Code Vein II, giving players a deep dive into the weapons, bosses, dungeons and the partners system while also revealing the release date for the game’s demo version that players have been asking for the past few weeks.

Code Vein II’s Character Creator Demo arrives on Jan 22nd on PC via Steam and Jan 23rd on PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
The Character Creator Demo will come with 64 slots, along with characters that you create, fully transferable to the full game.
Moreover, it will also allow players to explore the MagMell Institute, the hot spring within, along with the in-game Photo Mode to capture their newly created characters and experiment with the feature and settings.

Other than the details on the Character Creator Demo, the new trailer introduces the Sunken Pylon, described as “a vast area that holds the key to purifying Sunken City.” As they explore, players “will experience combat across seven distinct weapon types, ranging from the agile new dual blades to the devastating power of the halberd.“
Apart from that, the trailer also dives into Formae, which are special skills divided into three categories: weapon, defensive and bequeathed.
“Each Forma consumes Ichor, a vital resource gained through the Drain attack mechanic, which fuels powerful abilities.“
“The partner system also comes into focus, allowing players to seamlessly switch between summoning a partner to fight alongside them or assimilating their combat prowess. The trailer further highlights the Restorative Offering, where partners can restore the fallen Hunter with recovered health, though a cooldown leaves them temporarily incapacitated and unable to assist in battle.“
Code Vein II will launch on 30 January 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
