The Headless Rider is one of the key anomalies in NTE that you must spawn and fight for the first time to unlock him as a boss, whom you can later farm to get upgrade materials and other rewards.
Defeating the Headless Rider for the first time also rewards players with a free S-Rank Arc, just like the Swallowtail boss, the Eclipse easter egg, and others.
Moreover, the Arc also comes with a special effect that enables blue flames in bikes, giving the Ghost Rider vibes.
How to get the Raging Flame Plasma-type S-Rank Arc
In NTE, you can get the Plasma-type Raging Flame S-Rank Arc for free by defeating the Headless Rider boss for the first time.
Once you do that, you will get the option to ‘Contain’ the Headless Rider. Do it to unlock the Raging Flame Arc.

How to get the blue flames in bikes
To get the blue flames like the Ghost Rider on your bike in NTE, you need a bike, a Plasma-type character like Hathor, Nanally, or others, and the Raging Flame S-Rank Arc.
Once you have all three, equip the Raging Flame Arc on a Plasma-type character.
After that, call your bike and hop on. The blue flames will automatically appear.

Headless Rider boss location and how to spawn him
In NTE, to spawn the Headless Rider Anomaly, you must follow the steps below in the given order:
- Head to Regalia and buy a bike.
- The ST-X 950 is a great option.
- After that, change the time to 8:00 pm or later
- Hop in a car and head to the start of Fox Widow Street
- The Headless Rider boss will spawn and run towards the Coastal Highway Z42 tunnel
- Follow and defeat him
Head to Regalia and buy a bike
There are multiple Regalia outlets within the open world. You must head to the one on Camelot Avenue, as marked in the screenshot above.
Teleport to the nearby ReroRero Booth and head to Regalia.
Once you arrive, head inside and talk to Linis at reception.
Select the “I’d like to see the cars…” option.
Navigate the list and buy the Novis ST-X 950 or any other bike.
Once the purchase is complete, it’s time to change the time.
Change the time to 8:00 pm or later.
Open the Phone menu and head to ‘Time System.’ Now, set the time to 8:00 pm (20:00) or later. The boss spawns after 8, at night.
Hop in a car and head to the start of Fox Widow Street.
Now, hop in a car, as it is a mandatory requirement to spawn the Headless Rider boss. You can either use your own car or take one from the public.
After that, head to the start of Fox Widow Street, where the arrow points in the screenshot above.
The Headless Rider boss will spawn and run towards the Coastal Highway Z42 tunnel.
Follow the boss to the tunnel and go through the gate of blue flames.
Doing so will teleport you to the Headless Rider boss arena. Defeat the boss. Collect the reward.
Exit the boss arena. You will find yourself near the exit of the tunnel, in front of the big graffiti of the Headless Rider.
After you defeat the boss for the first time, the boss icon will appear on the map at the same spot. You can challenge it to farm upgrade materials.
