For players who don’t know, Lost, Obscure, and Paradoxical Whispers are character development materials that you need to develop characters like the Hotori, Esper Zero, and others.
In this guide, I explain all the methods for obtaining it while covering a few different topics.
How to get Lost, Obscure, and Paradoxical Whispers
In NTE, you can get Lost Whispers and its higher variants, Obscure and Paradoxical Whispers, primarily from Anomalies, including:
- Whisper Spawn
- Wind Spawn
- Lost Spawn
- Leech Spawn
- Octowpus
- Saddy Teddy
- Empty Shell
- Rain-sweeping Maid
- Dream Spawn
- Feather Puppet

Apart from that, you can also get the materials from the Hunter and Lost Exchanges.
And, you can also get it from the Material Selection Box.
Lastly, just like we have in any other gacha game, you can craft the higher variants of the material using the lesser variants.
For example, you can craft Obscure Whisper using Lost Whispers and Paradoxical Whispers using Obscure Whispers via the crafting menu.
How to farm Lost, Obscure, and Paradoxical Whispers
To farm the different Whispers development materials, you must track the Anomalies that I have listed above and farm them.
To track them, open your Phone menu and head to Exploration Guide.
After that, select the last tab and scroll through the list to find the Anomalies that drop different Whisper materials.
If you haven’t encountered them, they will appear as ‘Not Found.’ You can manually go through all of them and track the ones that have Whispers as drops.
Or, select either Lost, Obscure, or Paradoxical Whisper and in the Source section, click on the Anomaly option. Doing so will automatically take you to the track menu.
Once the tracking has begun, head to the location and defeat the anomalies.
Once you clear them, another location will automatically get marked on your map. Head there and defeat the anomalies for the Lost, Obscure, and Paradoxical Whispers. And keep repeating until you have enough.
