Fallout 76’s Rip Daring Mini Season is now live and will run through Thursday, May 5, with 20 new rewards for players to claim for free, granted they complete the challenges and earn the Event Tickets used for claiming the rewards.
Most challenges in Rip Daring Mini Season require players to deal damage with certain weapons and weapon types, with the ‘Rip’s Bounty’ buff active.
However, what is this ‘Rip’s Bounty’ buff? And how do you even activate it?
Activating the ‘Rip’s Bounty’ buff in Fallout 76
To activate the ‘Rip’s Bounty’ buff, first, you must head to the Seasons menu.
After that, you must select the Rip Darling Weapons Expert Extraordinaire special event.
Now, select and claim the ‘Rip Darling Vault Boy Statue.’
Once done, head to your base and open the build menu. In the history section, you will find the newly claimed ‘Rip Darling Vault Boy Statue.’
Select and place it anywhere in your base.
To get the ‘Rip’s Bounty’ buff, you must interact with the placed Rip Darling Vault Boy Statue.
Once you do that, you will get a notification that says, “American cryptid junk gathering ingenuity flows through your veins.”
This is your cue that the buff is now active.
The buff icon will also appear at the bottom right side of your game screen, as I have marked in the above screenshot.
You can also find it in your Pip Boy menu, in the Stat > Effects section.
The Rip’s Bounty buff is active for an hour. And after that, you must reactivate it.
