On Tuesday, Feb 24, out of nowhere, PlayStation and Insomniac Games announced the release date for the upcoming single-player action-adventure game, Wolverine, which is September 15.
It’s been around two weeks since PlayStation’s February State of Play ended, and while Wolverine didn’t make an appearance, now it sure has made a big one, since no one was expecting a release date confirmation, at least before Summer Game Fest 2026.

As he searches for answers about his past, Wolverine will do whatever it takes – unleashing brutal claw combat, violent rage and relentless determination – to cut through the mystery of the man he used to be.
Developed in collaboration with Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment, Marvel’s Wolverine arrives on PlayStation®5 consoles in Fall 2026.
Wolverine will launch later this year on September 15 exclusively on PS5.
