Crafting is one of the core aspects of Hytale. Duh! After all, it is a sandbox game where you can create almost anything.
From crafting building blocks to tools, weapons, armors, teleportation gates, to advanced items, you must know about how to craft them, the materials required and the working principle, aka how to use the crafted item.
And since there’s little to no information on how to craft any particular item, I prepared this ultimate Hytale crafting guide, where I list all the items and how you can craft them.
Hytale Crafting Guide
Just like games like Minecraft and others, to craft items in Hytale, you need different types of Workbenches and Workstations in general.
The general crafting process is similar to most sandbox games. You procure raw materials, smelt them and use the different workstations to convert them into usable crafting materials.
After that, you must use the respective workbench/workstation, add the crafting materials based on the item’s crafting recipe, to finally craft it.
To get started, right after starting a new game, press the ‘Tab’ key to open your Inventory as well as your Pocket Crafting menu.
The Pocket Crafting menu allows you to craft the starting tools, crafting stations, weapons and such things.
The first thing that you must craft is the Crude Pickaxe, Crude Hatchet and Crude Sword.
You can get the materials required to craft them near your initial spawn.
Once you craft it, make a Campfire and cook some Mushrooms or other dishes to ensure you have something to eat and heal yourself.
After that, craft the starting workstations.
