Well! Who would have guessed this? Huh. Team Cherry’s newest masterpiece, Hollow Knight Silksong, has finally launched globally on almost every platform, and while many players are already playing it, PC players are still stuck, trying to purchase and download the game.

In case you didn’t know, Hollow Knight Silksong released today, Thursday, Sep. 4, at 7 am PT, and since then, the Steam Store has been crashing for a majority of players.

At the time of launch, Steam was not even opening for many.

Now, a few hours after the launch, when Hollow Knight Silksong already has 100,000+ concurrent players on Steam, many are still struggling to purchase and download the game as they are getting the error E502 L3.

And while the Steam Servers are up, at least as per the third-party website Steam Status, there is a massive number of players still facing errors while using Steam.

At the time of writing, I tried to purchase and download Silksong, but I also got the same E502 L3 error during checkout.

Before working on this article, I tried nine times, but all failed.

I tried restarting Steam, which literally has no effect, but we can always try, right? Guess what? Got the same error.

So it is safe to say that Hollow Knight Silksong has crashed Steam’s servers.

Were you able to download the game? Is Steam working for you? Let me know in the comments!
