The latest installment in the Hollow Knight franchise and one of the most awaited games of this year, Hollow Knight Silksong, which became most awaited only a few weeks ago, as before that, no one knew Silksong even existed, other than the wishful fans, is a massive hit, as the game, on Steam, has more than 100,000+ concurrent players.

While you might have already heard countless publications indirectly blaming Team Cherry, which is a no-brainer, for how many indie releases scheduled for a Sept. 4th release were moved to a later date so they are not shadowed by Silksong’s release, we have one great game, Hell Is Us, that didn’t change its launch date.
And sadly, the game hasn’t managed to bring in players, as the Steam player count peaked only at 2683 players, at the time of writing.
What is worse is that most of these players are Deluxe Edition owners who have already been playing the game for the past two days, with me being one of them.

While it has been only a few hours since both games launched, the numbers and the projections are not looking great for Hell Is Us.
Opposite to that, Hollow Knight Silksong had a great launch, and we will see the numbers increase even more, with new highs during the weekend.
While Steam numbers don’t give a full picture of how much revenue a game has generated, especially multi-platform games like Hell Is Us and Hollow Knight Silksong, they give us an estimate of the game’s performance.
Let’s see how things unfold.
What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments. Will you be playing Silksong or Hell Is Us?
