Whether you are looking for the location of FTL array and UESC Radio Towers or UESC Comms Antenna or want to know how to get and complete the Welcome to Tau Ceti CYAC faction quest in Bungie’s Marathon, I’ve got you covered with this guide.
CyberAcme, or CyAc in short, is the starting faction in Marathon, with Welcome to Tau Ceti being the first introductory contract with relatively straightforward objectives.
There are two parts of the Welcome to Tau Ceti contract, where completing the first one unlocks the other.
In this walkthrough guide, I have covered the contract’s objectives, how you can complete them and the rewards that you get from it.
Welcome to Tau Ceti CyAc contract
To start the contract, simply head to the ‘Factions’ and select ‘CyAc.’
After that, hover over the contract and press the fire key, which on PC is LMB. Doing so will make the contract active.
Part 1
Part 1 of the contract requires you to:
- Defeat UESC in Perimeter 0/3
- Scan FTL array at any UESC radio tower in Perimeter (0/1)

Part 2
The second part of the contract requires you to:

Welcome to Tau Ceti Part 1 walkthrough
Start your run on the Perimeter map. If it’s your first run, you can choose the Beginner’s one or go with the regular one.
Once you spawn, go near any of the nearest POI. However, I recommend either the North Relay, Station or South Relay.
The first objective is easy. It is to take out any three UESC.
Defeat the UESC bots that you encounter at the POIs or on your way to them, to unlock the next objective.

Scan the FTL array at any UESC radio tower in Perimeter
You can find UESC Radio Towers on top of the tallest buildings in almost every POI in Perimeter.
Moreover, if you have completed the first objective, when you are near one, you will get a yellow Hexagon icon leading to the towers.
So follow it.
If you are Thief, you can use the grapple to head to the roof. Otherwise, follow the stairs and ladders to reach the top.
Once there, scan the FTL array. The completion progress doesn’t depend on whether you exfil or not. So no worries on that end.
Welcome to Tau Ceti Part 2 walkthrough
The second part of the contract has a single objective, which is to sabotage the UESC comms antenna at the North or South Relay POIs.
Start a run and make your way to North or South Relay. I prefer the North. I have also encircled the area where you find these comms antenna.
Once you arrive there, look at the towers with yellow plates like pillars. The one that I have marked in the above screenshot. Those are your UESC comms antenna.
There are more than one in the area. So if someone else has already sabotaged one, you can head to a different one.
Once again, when you are near the objective, you will see a Hexagon icon. Follow it.
Interact with the UESC comms antenna to sabotage it.
And that is it. That is how you complete the Welcome to Tau Ceti contract in Marathon.
