For players who don’t know, in the new Library of Congress Retrieval Classified Assignment quest, after you defeat the main boss Swayer, you get the Key to Rare Book Archive as a drop, along with the new The Archivist High End AR.
The thing is, even after collecting the key, you are tasked to exit the library area to end the quest.
And there’s no marker leading to the Rare Archive Room. That said, some players who manage to find it get stuck with the symbol puzzle inside the room.

Where to find the Rare Book Archive room in the Library of Congress
You can find the Rare Book Archive room inside the Digital Archives and Restoration Room.
First, after you defeat Sawyer and collect the key to Rare Book Archive, instead of following the quest marker, head back from where you came.
- Go past the checkpoint and take the rope leading down the elevator.
Once you exit the elevator, you will find yourself in the room with two Elevators, the door to the Archive Directory, and the door to the Digital Archives and Restoration.
Head through the latter one.

Right past the server’s area where you downloaded the archive data, you will find the door to the Rare Book Archive room.
Interact with it to unlock it using the key that you obtain from Sawyer.

How to solve the bookshelf symbol puzzle inside Rare Book Archive
To solve the symbol puzzle inside the Rare Book Archive room, you must head back to the Reading Room area.
The big hall with all the scaffolding found at the above-marked location.
Once you arrive there, you will find the four symbols that were in the Rare Book Archive room on the walls around the Reading Room.
Straight to their location, near the center, on the ground, you will find a corresponding number in Roman.

Note down each of the symbols and their corresponding Roman numeral on the ground.
You will have I, II, and III.
Head back to the Rare Book Archive room and interact with the symbols to find their corresponding Roman numeral.
If done correctly, the bookshelf will open, giving you access to a hidden path.
