The indie roguelite bullet-hell shooter from PlayMud Studio, Pass the Fear, is getting an open beta on Monday, Feb 23rd, a little ahead of February’s Steam Next Fest.

In Pass the Fear, you play as a Demon Hunter trapped on an island within an ancient wall of storms, a chaotic magic cast by a witch. Your goal? To escape before the dawn breaks.

The game offers high flexibility when it comes to playstyle, all thanks to the availability of traits, modifiers, affixes, more than 170+ relics, around 30 weapons, 22 Tarot cards and a great cast of four unique playable characters.

There’s a lot of potential when it comes to build-crafting and other such things. You can combine traits, modifiers and affixes to create deadly combos, even triggering chaotic chain reactions!

That said, while you can play Pass the Fear solo, there’s also Co-Op play.

The game’s map is also full of little “junk” scattered across the battlefield that you can piece together to uncover the unique story. And, it offers a lot, compared to any traditional roguelite.

Pass the Fear releases later this year on PC via Steam.
