Bungie’s next big game, the team-based extraction shooter, Marathon’s release date was leaked earlier today via a release date trailer posted on the Xbox community page, only to be later removed.

According to the “now deleted” trailer, Marathon will release on March 5, 2026, on PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms.

We already had the Marathon’s release window as March 2026 for some time now. The March 5, 2026, release makes more sense.

What further confirms the release date is the fact that soon after the trailer and screenshots of Marathon’s release date started spreading like wildfire across social media, Bungie’s team started a copyright strike spree.

That said, this is not something new for Bungie or Sony! We all have seen how easily Destiny 2’s DLC and other content release dates would leak ahead of their official reveals.

Aside from the release date, previously, Bungie has confirmed an open beta weekend for the game. Going by the “now leaked” release date, it should go live by Feb 27-28. Or, before that.
