The Lord of Hatred is the second and last major DLC for the game that will conclude Diablo 4’s story.
Just like the Vessel of Hatred, the Lord of Hatred DLC features a full-fledged campaign that players can access and complete to reach the new endgame and unlock added features.
Now, when it comes to accessing the new DLC, there are multiple methods. In this guide, I will discuss all of them.
Accessing the Lord of Hatred DLC
The best way to access the Lord of Hatred DLC directly in Diablo 4 is by creating a Seasonal character.
First, right after you log into your account in Diablo 4, in the character select menu, click on the ‘Create New Character’ option.
After that, select the Class that you want to play as.
Now, make sure the Campaign State shows, ‘Start With Vessel of Hatred Campaign Completed.’
If not, you must click on the ‘Change Campaign State’ button and select it.
Doing so will allow you to bypass the game’s story so far and directly start a new character from the Lord of Hatred DLC.
Once you spawn in, you can head to Backwater and start with the Lord of Hatred questline, taking the boat to the new region.
Alternatively, if you want to access the DLC in order, you must first complete the base game and Vessel of Hatred DLC campaigns to unlock the quest leading to Lord of Hatred.
Of course, in all this, you must have purchased the DLC.
