Whether you are looking for the Attic Shelter’s location within the Village area in Road to Vostok or want to know where to find the Attic Key, I’ve got you covered with this guide.
Attic Shelter is one of the safe houses in the Village area of the game, offering better access to the central village, more housing, more space, and other benefits, making it a great early-game upgrade.
However, to access the Attic Shelter, players must obtain the Attic Key. But since the game offers no hand-holding, many players don’t even know where to look for it.
And so, I prepared this guide that shares the Attic Shelter location and how to get its key, while also covering additional requirements, like crafting Kilju.
Where to find the Attic Shelter
In Road to Vostok, you can find the Attic Shelter near the Central Village area, right next to the pond near the railroads.
First, exit your Cabin Shelter, then head straight and follow the railroad on the right.
Keep following the railroad until you see a big building on your left.
The Attic Shelter is located at the above mark.
That is it. On the first floor, there is a door leading to the Attic Shelter.
How to get the Attic Key
In Road to Vostok, you can get the Attic Key by completing the ‘Homemade’ task from the Generalist NPC.
From the Attic’s location, head to the other side of the building.

Also, press ‘Tab’ to open your inventory. Check the ‘Events’ tab and ensure the Generalist has returned to the Village. If not, you must sleep and pass the day.
Now, as I said earlier, make your way to the other side of the building.
Enter the ground floor using either of the two doors.
And there you go. There you will find the Generalist NPC. Interact with him.
After that, select the ‘Task’ option. Scroll to the bottom, and you will find the ‘Homemade’ task.
To complete the task, you must deliver an item called Kilju to the Generalist.
How to get Kilju
You can get Kilju by crafting it via your inventory. Press ‘Tab’ and head to the ‘Crafting’ section.
There, select the ‘Cooking’ tab and scroll down. You will find Kilju.
To craft Kilju, you need:
- Bucket x1
- W. Lock x1
- Water x3
- Sugar x1
- Yeast x1
You can find all the items in the Village area. Search the cabinets and the buildings, and you will be good to go.
