For players who don’t know, AION 2 has finally been released on the Mobile and PC (via Purple) platforms in South Korea and Taiwan.
With the global release set to 2026, with no exact release dates.
But, thankfully, just like any other region-locked MMORPGs, there is a chance for players to play AION 2 on PC.
How to play AION 2 on PC in region-locked countries
To play AION 2 on PC in region-locked countries, all you have to do is create an NCSOFT account with the country set to Taiwan or South Korea.
Head to the NCSOFT login page. You don’t need any mobile number or such thing that you would typically need while trying to play Chinese games with region locks.
That said, once you create an account, all you must do is download NCSOFT’s official PC Emulator, Purple, from their website.
Once the download is complete, install it and login with the newly created account.
Head to the ‘Store’ section and select ‘AION 2.’
After that, click on the ‘View in Purple for PC’ button. Doing so will take you to the game’s download page.
Complete the download. Now, we are not done yet. To play the game, you need the in-game texts to be in English right?
How to change AION 2 language to English
Well! There two ways to do that. You can select it in initial start-up in-game or launch in English via the Launcher.
I prefer the second method, and thus, here’s how you can do that.
Click on the ‘File Scan and Game Settings’ hyperlink below the Play button, as you see in the above screenshot.
Select the ‘Text’ option.
Now, choose ‘English.’ And that is it.
