The game that started as a dream project by Hypixel, a Minecraft multiplayer server, back in 2015, has seen more downs than ups.
After being funded and acquired by Riot Games, in 2025, Hypixel Studios was about to close, along with Hytale’s development.
Until, the original founders bought the Studio back from Riot, re-hired original devs and came up with an Early Access release plan.
