Road to Vostok is a hardcore survival game that offers a more realistic weapon reload mechanic, unlike other arcade shooters, where you press a single key to reload.
In fact, depending on your weapon in the game, there are multiple ways to reload it. It is quite overwhelming for new players.
In the wake of that, I prepared this handy guide covering how you can reload the different weapons in Road to Vostok.
Manually reloading your weapons
To reload a mag in Road to Vostok, you must first press the RMB and select the ‘Remove (Mag)’ option.
Doing so will add the empty mag to your inventory.
Now, drag and drop the ammo into the empty mag by pressing and holding the LMB.
Once you release LMB, the reload progress will appear.
Once the mag is fully loaded, drag and drop it into the weapon to use it.
Reloading your weapon by inserting a cartridge
The ‘Insert Cartridge’ option works with weapons such as the Shotgun and the Mosin Bolt Action Rifle. To use it to reload those weapons, you must equip the weapon and press the ‘CTRL’ button.
Once you do that, the weapon will be in Insert Cartridge mode. Now, assuming you have the ammo in your inventory, press the ‘LMB’ to insert them into the cartridge.
Reloading your weapons when you already have extra mags
When you have extra mags, you can press the ‘R’ key to reload your weapon or simply drag and drop the new mags into the weapon.
